Environmental Issues

DID YOU KNOW?

... That in Pennsylvania, all operations that generate or land apply manure, regardless of scale, are required by law to have, maintain, and implement a Chapter 91 Manure Management Plan?

AND, within the next 5-7 years District Staff and DEP staff will be visiting ALL farms within the Chesapeake Bay Watershed of Chester County to provide proof of these plans if they apply?plans if they apply?

It's TRUE!

So ... ln an effort to help operators and landowners make responsible decisions regarding the generation, handling, and application of manure, in addition to being compliant with the law, the Chester County Conservation District (CCCD) Is once again hosting several Manure Management Plan Workshops!

During these workshops, District staff will discuss Manure and Nutrient Management regulations in Pennsylvania, and work to assist attendees with the development of Manure Management Plans for their operations.
